Thinking Outside the Journal Box
I'm endlessly fascinated by the travails of the modern law journal, so while I was browsing my blogs this afternoon (instead of working on Civ Pro, oops ;) I was shocked and pleased to see the masthead of The Columbia Science and Technology Law Review on Engadget, a very high-traffic geek/tech blog, today. The short and timely piece focused on recent rumblings between TiVO and the FCC. This seems like exactly the kind of high-profile, real-world, impactful writing that law journals should be seeking to do more of. (NB: not everyone at jurisdynamics would agree on this ;) Congrats to STLR on landing such a high-profile tie-in.

So important to bring the debate to the people, IMHO, particularly in technology where the impact of special interests is magnified by general misunderstanding.
